YSR Pension Kanuka
YSR Pension Kanuka/AP Social Security pensions will be starting from 1st June 2019. AP State Government has released G.O Ms.No.103, Dated 30.05.2019 regarding the enhancement of Pensions amount from Rs.2000 to Rs.2250. YSR Pensions Kanuka will be implemented for Old Age pension, Widow, Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Fishermen, Single Women, Traditional Cobblers and for some other special category people too.
Govt of AP, Department of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development has issued G.O Ms.No.103, Dated 30.05.2019 regarding these pensions. Besides this pension amount enhancement, state government has also decreased qualifying age to pensions from 65 years to 60 years. The YSRCP has mentioned all these changes in their Manifesto. Disabled pensions are enhanced to Rs.3000.
AP Chief Minister Mr.Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy has also said that his government will enhance YSR Pension Kanuka amount by Rs.250 per year. Beneficiaries will get Rs.2250 pension from 1st June 2019, Rs.2500 from 1st June 2020, Rs.2750 from 1st June 2021 and Rs.3000 from 1st June 2022. The enhancement is Rs.250 per year. Gradually YSR Pensions reach to Rs.3000 as announced by the party during their election campaign in Andhra Pradesh in these assembly elections.

Andhra Pradesh state government is committed to the Welfare and Development of all segments of the society. Government have announced Navarathnalu comprising of various welfare and developmental programs to achieve this objective. As part of the Navaratnalu , enhancement of pension amount and reduction in the age criteria for old age pension is a major welfare measure to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of the society particularly the old and infirm, widows, and persons with disability to secure a dignified life .
In pursuance of the above and as a part of implementation of the above welfare measures, Government here by order the following pertaining to Social Security pensions scheme named as YSR Pension Kanuka.
Rs.2250 Pension: Old Age pensions, Widow Pension, Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Fishermen, Single Women, Traditional Cobblers, ART Pensions
Rs.3000 Pension: Disabled Pensions
Rs.10,000 Pension: People with kidney problems (Dialysis Patients) Pensions
