TS Employees March Salaries Postponement
Telangana Govt has released G.O Ms.No.27 Dated 30.03.2020 for the deferment of its Employees Salaries (March Salary paid on 1st April 2020). Official sources said that its not salary cut. There shall be a deferment of 75% to 10% in the gross salary of employees depending upon what position they are in. TS Govt said that there will not be Salary Cuts but only postponement due to the economic slow down. TS Govt issued these orders basing on the The Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897.
Govt has declared a 21 day country wise lockdown to prevent further extension of the dangerous COVID 19 (Coronavirus) in Telangana and across the country. Coronavirus has been declared as a pandemic by World Health Organization and it is therefore necessary to take certain further emergency measures to prevent and contain the spread of COVID 19.
Telangana Government in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 2 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897, read with all other enabling provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, has notified lockdown in the entire State of Telangana with immediate effect till 14.04.2020 prescribing certain regulations and measures during the said period.

Govt of Telangana, Department of Finance has released G.O Ms.No.27 yesterday for the deferment of TS Govt Employees Salaries (March Salaries paid in April 2020). This G.O Copy is as follows. This G.O is issued keeping in view of The Epidemic Diseases Act,1897 and The Disaster Management Act, 2005.
TS Government taking the economic impact caused due to lockdown and consequent lack of inflow of resources and in the view of additional expenditures being incurred to control Coronavirus spread across the state, has released G.O Ms.No.27 Dated 30.03.2020 for deferment on payment of wages / salaries, including all allowances and perks / pensions. Govt clearly clarified that this is not Salary Cut, but only (postponement) of salary for a certain period witch will be disclosed at a later stage.
TS Govt Employees Salaries Deferment is as follows….
- 75% in the gross salary, in respect of Hon’ble C.M / Hon’ble Ministers / Hon’ble M.L.As /Hon’ble M.L.Cs, Chairperson of all Corporations and Elected Representatives of all Local Bodies.
- 60% in gross salary in respect of All India Service Officers viz., IAS, IPS and IFS.
- 50% in gross salary in respect of All other category employees except Class 4 employees
- 10% deferment for all class 4 employees, contract employees, out sourcing employees.
- For Pensioners also deferment applicable as per the category they are in.
These orders shall come into force for the March 2020 salary which will be paid on the 1st of April 2020.
