WB TET 2017 Notification
WB TET 2017 Notification/West Bengal Primary TET notification 2017/WB TET Notification for Primary class 1 to class 7 will be published by West Bengal Board of Primary Education. WBBPE has released Circular No.1167/BPE/2017 Date 12.05.2017 regarding WETET 2017 for primary classes. West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test (WB TET 2017) will be conducted by WBBPE on a single day throughout West Bengal state.
WB TET 2017 Eligibility
WBTET 2017/WB TET 2017/West Bengal Primary TET Eligibility conditions are as follows
(i) Classes 1 to 5: Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (R.C.I.), shall also be considered.
5% relaxation of marks in Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination (i.e. 45%) will be allowed for the SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, EC, Ex-Serviceman and DH (Death-in-harness) category candidates.
(ii) As per the Govt. order No. 287-SE(EE)/10M-6/2009 Pt-I(TET) dated 17-04-2017 read with No. 343-SE/EE/10M-6/2009 Pt-I(TET) dated 12-05-2017 persons who have appeared final examination of Two Year D.El.Ed. Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published & Persons who have appeared final examination of Two Year D.Ed. (Special Education) Course from RCI recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published shall also be eligible to sit for the WB TET 2017.
Minimum academic qualifications mentioned above obtained after the date of this notification, shall not be accepted. Any such applications submitted shall be rejected.
First Language : Applicants will have to choose any one of the languages as first language, which are Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Santhali, Oriya and Telugu. The choice will be on the basis of the medium of instruction in the school.
Second Language : English is the second language for all candidate.
WB TET Qualifying Marks : A candidate who will score 60% and above of the full marks (150) in the TET will be considered as TET 2017 passed candidate. A relaxation by 5% (i.e. 55%) will be the qualifying mark for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PH, EC, Ex-Serviceman and DH (Death-in-harness). However, qualifying the TET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment. The details regarding the submission of online application forms, deposit of fees, date, time and venue of the TET examination etc. shall be notified in due course through WB TET 2017 Notification.
