In Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar constituency completed polling on 23rd April 2026 and Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar Election Results will be declared on 4th May. Even though there are many political parties in Tamil Nadu, the main competition is among DMK, AIADMK and Vijay’s TVK. Several exit poll surveys suggest that the ruling DMK party may form the government once again.

In the 2021 Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, DMK alliance secured 133 seats while AIADMK won 60 seats. Congress also won 17 seats across the state. With actor Vijay entering politics through TVK, the 2026 elections are expected to witness a triangular contest in constituencies like Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar.

DMK, AIADMK, TVK Parties Manifesto Key Points

In Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar, major political parties have announced their manifesto focusing on development, welfare schemes and governance initiatives.

The ruling DMK party has also mentioned in their manifesto that they will increase monthly cash assistance for women from ?1000 to ?2,000 under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme, they will extend school breakfast scheme upto 8th class, an ?8,000 coupon for household appliances and continues free bus travel for women.

The AIADMK party has said in their manifesto that they will give ?10,000 one-time relief and a monthly financial aid of ?2,000 for women family heads. Free refrigerators for women ration card holders, Three free LPG cylinders per year. Free bus travel extended to both men and women and revival of 2,000 Amma Clinics.

TVK will give ?2,500 to the women heads of households as a monthly assistance, 8 grams of gold and a silk saree for brides from households with less than ?5 lakh annual income, six free LPG cylinders per year, monthly allowance of ?3,000 for senior citizens, widows, and people with disabilities. Mothers will be paid ?15,000 annual assistance to send their children to schools.

Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar Election Result 2021

Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will be used for polling in Thiru-Vi-Ka-Nagar constituency. Counting of votes will begin from 8 AM on 4th May 2026 and early trends are expected within a few hours.
