In Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, Kanniyakumari constituency completed polling on 23rd April 2026 and Kanniyakumari Election Results will be declared on 4th May. Even though there are many political parties in Tamil Nadu, the main competition is among DMK, AIADMK and Vijay’s TVK. Key Manifesto Promises by Major Parties
The main political parties contesting in Kanniyakumari have released their manifesto highlighting infrastructure, employment and public welfare programs.
The ruling DMK party has also mentioned in their manifesto that they will increase monthly cash assistance for women from ?1000 to ?2,000 under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme, they will extend school breakfast scheme upto 8th class, an ?8,000 coupon for household appliances and continues free bus travel for women.
The AIADMK party has said in their manifesto that they will give ?10,000 one-time relief and a monthly financial aid of ?2,000 for women family heads. Free refrigerators for women ration card holders, Three free LPG cylinders per year. Free bus travel extended to both men and women and revival of 2,000 Amma Clinics.
TVK will give ?2,500 to the women heads of households as a monthly assistance, 8 grams of gold and a silk saree for brides from households with less than ?5 lakh annual income, six free LPG cylinders per year, monthly allowance of ?3,000 for senior citizens, widows, and people with disabilities. Mothers will be paid ?15,000 annual assistance to send their children to schools.
